What Are You Planning?
Start with countertops, cabinets, or both. Choose the path that fits your project.
COUNTERTOPS
Straightforward Stone Work, Quoted Clearly
Replacing countertops or working from a cabinet plan? Send what you have. We’ll tell you what is still needed to price it.

KITCHENS AND BATHS
New cabinets or an existing layout, we fabricate countertops for kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, and bars. Share the rough size, sink details, and material ideas to start.
COUNTERTOP REPLACEMENT
Keeping your cabinets? Send photos of the existing tops, sink, and backsplash. We’ll explain what needs an on-site check and what falls outside the stone scope.
VANITIES AND SMALLER PIECES
Vanity tops, shower curbs, benches, shelves, thresholds, fireplace pieces, and laundry tops can often be made from current inventory or remnants. We confirm the piece before quoting.
CABINETRY AT PIONEER

Cabinet design rendering created by Pioneer Stone Works.
Four Cabinet Lines. One Coordinated Kitchen Plan.
The right cabinet line depends on what the room actually requires. A straightforward kitchen may fit FGM or Fabuwood. A project that needs more finish, construction, or sizing flexibility may call for Showplace. Full-custom details may call for Plain & Fancy. We help you spend where the design benefits and avoid paying for flexibility you do not need.
Pioneer designs kitchen and bath cabinetry on its own or coordinated with countertops. Nico works through the layout, storage, appliance clearances, sink, door style, finish, and countertop details before the order is released.
HOW WE START
We start with the room, appliances, priorities, and a working cabinet budget. That lets us recommend the right line before detailed design begins.
FGM CABINETRY
Practical, value-focused cabinetry for straightforward layouts and a focused range of styles and finishes.
FABUWOOD CABINETRY
Framed and frameless collections with current styles, practical storage options, and broad appeal.
SHOWPLACE CABINETRY
Semi-custom flexibility across overlay, inset, and frameless construction, with broader choices in woods, doors, finishes, and design details.
PLAIN & FANCY
Full-custom cabinetry for nonstandard sizing, inset details, furniture-style work, and specialized finishes.
Cabinet orders are placed after final design approval and payment in full. Pioneer provides cabinet installation, with the exact cabinet scope identified in the written quote. Countertops are templated after the cabinets and required supports are installed, level, secured, and ready.
CUSTOM STONEWORK
Custom Stonework for the Details That Matter
Quartzite, marble, waterfalls, full height backsplashes, fireplaces, large islands, and feature pieces need more planning. We review the slab layout, seam locations, cutouts, supports, access, and installation details before cutting.
This is where digital templating, material knowledge, and careful planning matter most. Send the plans or photos before the material is committed so we can identify the important details early.

How Your Countertop Project Moves
The details vary by job, but the order should be clear before material is committed or stone is cut.
01
SEND THE PROJECT
Send photos, drawings, or rough measurements. Include the town, cabinet status, sink or cooktop details, material ideas, and target timing when known.
02
GET A CLEAR QUOTE
We review what you send, explain what is included, and ask for anything needed to finish the quote.
03
CONFIRM MATERIAL AND SCOPE
You approve the material and scope. The required deposit is collected before template, material commitment, or fabrication.
04
TEMPLATE AND REVIEW DETAILS
Cabinets and required supports must be installed, level, secured, and ready. We digitally template, then confirm layout and seam placement when the project requires it.
05
FABRICATE AND INSTALL
We fabricate the stone in Newington and install it with Pioneer’s stone crew. The remaining balance is due under the approved quote terms.
Ready to start? Send photos and rough measurements. We’ll tell you what else is needed.

Which Material Fits Your Project?
Quartz, granite, quartzite, marble, soapstone, and porcelain behave differently. Tell us how the space will be used and what matters most to you. We’ll explain the practical tradeoffs, then quote the exact color or slab you choose.
QUARTZ
Engineered and low maintenance, with many consistent colors and patterns. Use trivets and cutting boards. Heat and scratch performance varies by product.
GRANITE
Natural stone with color and pattern variation. Porosity and sealing needs vary by slab, finish, and sealer.
QUARTZITE
Natural stone selected for movement and character. Products sold as quartzite do not all behave the same, so the actual slab and intended use must be reviewed.
MARBLE
Natural stone known for veining and patina. Etching, scratching, and staining are real considerations, especially in working kitchens.
SOAPSTONE
Nonporous and heat tolerant, but softer than many countertop stones. Scratches and patina are part of its character. Oiling is optional.
PORCELAIN
A thin, large-format surface with product-specific heat, edge, UV, and outdoor guidance. Handling and fabrication planning matter.
